 This website was created to explain and follow the experiment of Gregory living without commerical maps. A blog was set up using the popular web software WordPress, this gave a number of useful features and ease to update the readers on how he was coping only looking at a map from 1948 and the one he was creating. Additional parts had to be added into the website such as a slippy map of the area of Durham, where the experiment was happening. This map first loads on Durham but users can zoom in/out and drag the map around. The page uses Open Street Maps' API and the data is taken from the OSM server which is updated by contributing members and is free to use on your own website. |
